XLR8+ A device for treating wounds with negative pressure: Genadyne Biotechnologies, Inc, USA

The XLR8 Plus Wound Therapy Device is a modern and powerful vacuum device that easily handles the largest wounds over a long period of time, offering continuous and variable pressure settings as well as intensity level settings. It promotes wound healing by removing excess exudates and infectious material. Depending on the type and size of the wound and the mobility of the structure, flexible settings are available. With the dressing changing only every 48-72 hours, treatment becomes comfortable and of high quality. FDA-approved for both hospital and home care.

The visual effect of Genadyne Green Foam is undeniable. The green colour was chosen so that clinicians can better distinguish between viable and non-viable tissue in the wound bed. The colour contrast increases differentiation.

  • GenadyneGreen Foam is a fully meshed polyurethane foam made from polyester resin for better hydrolytic stability. The design enhances performance under pressure and in wet environments.
  • Duodecahedron's cellular structure gives a three-dimensional skeletal thread to the cells, providing enhanced filtration performance and improved removal of exudate and infectious materials. This cellular structure also increases tensile strength to prevent wear. Abrasion is significantly reduced, preventing stray particles from being left in the wound bed.
  • The combination of cellular structure and composition gives the foam a non-sticky property, which makes it easier to remove during dressing changes, thereby reducing pain and discomfort.
  • The foam creates direct contact with the wound bed, ensuring even pressure distribution. This helps reduce swelling and promotes tissue perfusion and granulation.

System MultiCanister from Genadyne allows optimal treatment of wounds of any size or exudate level, taking wound care to the next level. The canister system allows the clinician to select the appropriate canister size for the volume of wound drainage. Combination is available - use any canister with any dressing set.
